Portable satellite internet dish now $299 in the U.S., $399 in Canada
SpaceX had revived a significant discount on its portable Starlink Mini dish, slashing the price for U.S. customers from $499 to $299, a 40% reduction. The offer is available exclusively on Starlink.com and does not extend to third-party retailers. Canadian customers can also benefit, with the dish discounted from CAD$599 to CAD$399.
The Starlink Mini is designed for portability, small enough to fit in a backpack. Its Wi-Fi router is integrated directly into the dish, which also includes a built-in kickstand for easy setup. The device allows users to access satellite internet anywhere, making it ideal for travelers, remote workers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
While convenient, the Starlink Mini does come with trade-offs:
It’s unclear how long this $299 promotion will last. A similar discount was offered in mid-May and ran through the end of that month. The promotion may indicate that SpaceX is clearing out inventory ahead of the launch of a follow-up model to the Starlink Mini.
In Australia, SpaceX has also run a limited promotion offering a free Starlink Mini for select users, effectively loaning the hardware at no additional charge.
For users seeking portable satellite internet, the Starlink Mini’s temporary price drop makes it an attractive option—especially for those willing to pay for the Roam plan to stay connected on the go.
