Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale is running through October 7, and tablets are among the categories seeing real cuts rather than token discounts. PCMag, which tracks deals across the event, flagged three US price drops worth knowing about if you're shopping for a slate this week.

The steepest percentage cut goes to TCL's Tab A1 Nxtpaper. PCMag listed it at $259.99, down from its usual $399.99, a $140 reduction and about 35 percent off, when the outlet published its roundup Tuesday evening. The tablet has an 11-inch 2.1K Nxtpaper display with 6.7mm bezels, 500 nits of peak brightness and a 90Hz refresh rate, according to PCMag, along with four speakers, an 8,000mAh battery, Android 16 with Gemini AI built in, and a stylus in the box.

Samsung and Lenovo also discounted

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE was listed at $399.99, down from $549.99, a $150 cut that PCMag put at more than 30 percent off, when it reported the price Tuesday. PCMag's description notes a 90Hz display, Samsung's S Pen stylus included, an aluminum build rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, and 45W charging. The outlet's Eric Zeman, PCMag's managing editor for consumer electronics, has reviewed tablets for two decades and called the Tab S10 FE a sensible pick for buyers undecided between Android slates.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, bundled with a keyboard and stylus, was marked down to $429.99 from $574.53, a savings of roughly $145, or 25 percent, per PCMag's Tuesday listing. PCMag has named the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 an Editors' Choice winner, citing its screen, performance, build quality and battery life as reasons the bundle holds up as a productivity option even before the discount.

None of the three prices come with an India figure in PCMag's reporting, so anyone shopping from Amazon.in will need to check local listings separately rather than assume the same cuts apply.

What else is on sale

PCMag's roundup also notes that Amazon is discounting its own Fire tablets during the event, though the outlet says those cuts run shallower than the third-party deals above, without naming exact percentages. The publication says it has seen discounts across nearly every tablet it has reviewed, ranging from around 10 percent on some models up to the mid-30s on others, and that it's continuing to update its list as the sale runs.

Prime Big Deal Days wraps up October 7, and Amazon has generally restored list prices once its sales events end, so deals like these tend to have a short shelf life. Shoppers weighing a purchase should expect pricing to reset once the event closes, with no indication yet of whether any of these specific discounts will carry into Amazon's typical November and December sales.
