The final day of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days brought steep discounts across PC hardware, handheld storage and desktop peripherals in both the United States and the United Kingdom on Wednesday morning.
While Amazon required a Prime subscription for its discounts, rival stores pushed their own competing sales. Best Buy, for instance, cut the price of Western Digital's 2TB WD Black SN770M SSD by over 50 percent when Tom's Hardware logged the listing on October 7. The drive uses TLC flash and runs at sequential read speeds up to 5,150MB/s and write speeds up to 4,850MB/s, making it an upgrade option for handheld systems like Valve's Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally.
Displays and Prebuilt Hardware
Monitor deals also surfaced during the sale's final stretch. A 32-inch curved QHD gaming monitor featuring a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate was listed at $189 on Amazon, reflecting a $140 drop to match its recorded low.
For mobile gamers, Acer's Nitro V16s gaming laptop appeared with an AMD Ryzen AI 7 processor and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card, paired with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB solid-state drive.
Corsair's Xeneon Edge was highlighted as well. The 14.5-inch auxiliary monitor fits under a main screen, stands beside an existing setup or mounts inside a desktop chassis as a dedicated status read-out.
Storage, Memory and Seating
Component buyers faced notable volatility in memory prices leading into the event. Tom's Hardware tracked a Crucial Pro 64GB DDR5 memory kit with 6,400MHz speeds listed at £50 on Amazon UK on Wednesday morning, supporting both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO overclocking profiles. A 32GB version of the kit saw price drops across both regions.
In desktop storage, Samsung's 9100 Pro Gen 5 solid-state drive, rated for read throughput reaching 14,700MB/s, was listed at just $10 above the company's older 990 Pro drive. PNY's 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD was also discounted, offering 5,100MB/s sequential read and 3,200MB/s write speeds for budget builds.
Outside internal parts, the Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen gaming chair was marked down to £170 on Amazon UK, a 51 percent cut from its standard listing. The budget chair includes 2D armrests, built-in lumbar support and a backrest that reclines up to 152 degrees.
Sales across Amazon, Newegg and Best Buy are scheduled to wrap up as the promotional window closes Wednesday night.
