Bayern Munich face Arsenal in the Champions League 2026/27 league phase on Wednesday, 21 October, with kickoff at 8pm BST, 3pm ET and 12pm PT at the Allianz Arena.
It's a rematch of last season's meeting, which Arsenal won 3-1 on their way to the final. Bayern, under Vincent Kompany, have won eight of the twelve all-time meetings between the clubs to Arsenal's four, with three draws, though the Gunners have taken the last three head-to-head encounters.

What to expect
Kompany missed his usual touchline presence at the weekend while dealing with illness and a hip problem, though his side didn't seem to notice, routing RB Leipzig 6-1 in the Bundesliga. Luis Diaz scored a hat-trick in that game, his first goals since August, and Bayern arrive having scored in 24 consecutive Champions League matches and racked up 25 goals across their last six outings in all competitions. Michael Olise is suspended after a red card in a 3-3 draw with Viking, and Harry Kane faces a club he's been linked with supporting as a boy.
Arsenal have been tighter since a 3-0 loss at Brighton, grinding out a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest off a single shot on target and beating Lille 3-0 in their last Champions League group game. Mikel Arteta, who once coached under Kompany at Manchester City, may hand a start to Noni Madueke after Ebere Eze struggled at the weekend.
Matchday 3 continues across the competition this week, with the next round of league-phase fixtures due in early November.
