Googlebook now supports Samsung Galaxy smartphones — but only if you’re running One UI 9 and the latest Google Play Services. The feature rolled out quietly overnight, ending a launch-day gap that left Galaxy owners locked out of Android sync features like app streaming, notification mirroring, and “Continue On” handoffs. It was the single largest compatibility hole in Googlebook’s “Better Together” suite at launch. And it’s now patched, not with new hardware or a firmware reset, but via two software updates: Play Services 26.37 on the phone, and Cross-device Services 1.0.1346, both installable through the Play Store. A smoother first-time setup flow is included too, cutting down the number of manual steps required to pair devices. The persistent QR code bug. Where the pairing screen stayed visible even after successful linking, is also fixed. Some Galaxy users have already confirmed working notifications and app streaming on their Googlebooks. But here’s the catch: One UI 9 remains limited to select models, including the Galaxy S26 series and recent foldables. Most Galaxy S25 and older devices won’t get it. So support isn’t universal. It’s conditional, narrow, and still rolling. No price, no release date for broader rollout, no official timeline beyond “in the coming weeks.” Just an update, live now, that works, if your phone qualifies.
