GTA 6 Fans Flood Rumored Lucia Actress's Livestream With Questions

Manni L. Perez, long suspected of voicing Lucia in GTA 6, ignored a wave of fan comments during a 12-minute Instagram stream as the November 19 launch approaches.

Manni L. Perez spent twelve minutes talking about her dog, her studio apartment and her love of cooking. The internet spent those same twelve minutes trying to get her to say one word: Lucia.

Perez, the actress fans have spent years linking to the lead role in Grand Theft Auto 6, went viral this week after a livestream on her Instagram account drew more than 2,100 viewers at its peak, a striking number for an account that is six months old and has posted just nine times. Rockstar Games has not confirmed her, or almost anyone else in the cast, and Perez treated every comment mentioning Lucia or GTA 6 as if it did not exist.

"But yeah, no, I'm not rich. I'm a regular person," she told viewers who assumed otherwise. "I live in a small studio apartment, which I love. I have my tiny, little itty-bitty kitchen, and it's just me and my dog." She described growing up in what she called a "small, rural, redneck-y" town, driving trucks, and doing everything on her own for years.

At one point she said she wants a green truck. Commenters kept pushing anyway, some asking if she lives with a character named Jason, a reference to GTA 6's male lead, others more directly asking whether she's "ready for next month." None of it moved her off script.

Why fans think she's Lucia

The speculation isn't baseless, even without a Rockstar confirmation that would violate what would almost certainly be a strict non-disclosure agreement if true. Perez has a string of single-episode television credits, including Jessica Jones, The Blacklist and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and she previously voiced a blackjack dealer in Grand Theft Auto Online. Fans have also floated Dylan Rourke, known for Modern Family and Grey's Anatomy, as the voice behind Jason, Lucia's partner in the game's story. Neither actor has confirmed anything.

The one name Rockstar hasn't had to dodge is Stephen Root, who has said publicly he plays the drug trafficker Brian Heder in GTA 6. Beyond that, the cast remains an open guessing game that will likely stay that way until launch.

Grand Theft Auto fans have a track record for this kind of detective work. One spent three months charting planetary positions trying to predict when a third trailer would drop. Another measured oxygen levels chasing the same answer. Both were wrong, which hasn't slowed anyone down.

GTA 6 is set to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, and Rockstar's marketing push is only getting louder in the weeks before release. Whether Perez, Rourke or anyone else fans have named actually voices Lucia and Jason may not be settled until the credits roll, or until Rockstar decides to say so itself.
