Black Friday is still more than a month away, but TV prices are already moving. Best Buy has the 55-inch LG B6 4K OLED TV listed at $699, according to Tom's Guide's deals desk, which tracked the cut as part of a roundup of early discounts published Sunday. That's $500 off, a 42% reduction that the outlet says matches what the same TV sold for during October Prime Day.
Tom's Guide rates the LG B6 as the best TV on the market right now, and the discount applies to the 55-inch panel. A separate 48-inch version, sold as a Best Buy exclusive, supports 4K gaming at up to 120Hz and climbs to 144Hz with variable refresh rate enabled, a detail that matters more for PC gamers plugging a TV into a graphics card than for console players. It also carries Dolby Vision support. Tom's Guide's own review of the set called it nearly as capable as LG's pricier C6, just without the C6 price tag.
The rest of the list
Six other sets made the cut. At the budget end, Tom's Guide pointed to a 32-inch Roku-branded smart TV with a 1080p panel, pitched as a quick upgrade for a bedroom or kitchen rather than a main screen, and a 43-inch 4K Roku TV with HDR10 support, a 60Hz refresh rate and four HDMI ports that the outlet called one of the cheapest 4K options it found ahead of Black Friday.
For sports viewing, the recommendation is the Hisense U6SF Pro, a Mini-LED set with a glare-free screen and two HDMI 2.1 ports capable of 4K at 144Hz. Tom's Guide says the current listing sits $100 above the TV's lowest price ever of $749, which puts the deal price in the neighborhood of $849 rather than at an all-time low.
At the higher end, the TCL QM9K, a flagship Mini-LED TV with what Tom's Guide describes as some of the brightest panels it has tested and a 5,000-zone local dimming system called Halo Control, is down to $999 for the 65-inch model, which the outlet says is the lowest that set has ever gone. TCL's QM8L, a step below the QM9K, uses the company's newer SQD Mini-LED panel technology and picked up a four-star review from Tom's Guide for its contrast and color, though no discounted price was listed for it.
Rounding out the list is Samsung's S95F, which Tom's Guide calls the best OLED television Samsung has built, thanks to quantum dot layering that improves color volume and peak brightness over the company's mid-range B5 and C5 models. No sale price was given for that set either.
With Black Friday weeks away, retailers tend to add and drop these prices without much warning, and Tom's Guide notes several of these deals already sit at or near historic lows. Anyone waiting for the official Black Friday weekend should expect the list, and the prices on it, to keep shifting between now and late November.
