Amazon marked down Microsoft's 2026 Surface Pro OLED to $1,649.99, taking $450 off its regular $2,099.99 retail price when TechRadar reported the deal on Thursday. That amounts to an approximate 21.4 percent discount on the premium Windows tablet.
It is not the absolute lowest price recorded for this specific configuration. TechRadar noted that the model had briefly touched $1,599.99 during earlier promotional cycles. Even so, the current reduction remains one of the steeper cuts available on Microsoft's flagship slate.
The configuration on sale pairs Qualcomm's 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite chip with integrated Adreno graphics. Microsoft packs 16GB of RAM and 1TB of solid-state storage inside, offering more capacity than the 512GB drives found on entry-tier Surface devices like the Snapdragon X2 Plus Surface Laptop.
Up front, the tablet centers on a 13-inch PixelSense OLED touchscreen running at a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels. The display hits a peak output of 600 nits, taking advantage of panel self-emission to deliver inky blacks alongside strong contrast ratios for visual editing and media playback.
Physical ports include two USB-C USB4 connections that manage power delivery, peripheral data transfer, and external display feeds. Wireless duties run through Bluetooth 5.4. Microsoft rates the built-in battery for up to 15.5 hours of endurance on a single charge, though real-world figures predictably vary based on active background workloads and display brightness.
On the software side, the slate runs Windows 11 with built-in Microsoft Copilot features. Its exterior retains Microsoft's signature integrated kickstand, allowing users to position the screen at multiple angles without needing a bulky case.
The hardware targets traveling professionals, students, and digital creators who want full desktop operating system functionality without committing to a traditional clamshell notebook. However, it comes with distinct trade-offs. The integrated Adreno graphics chip cannot handle heavy PC gaming or workstation-grade graphics rendering, and the tablet ships without an attached keyboard. Shoppers wanting a conventional typing experience must purchase a separate keyboard cover.
Amazon has not provided an expiration date for the $1,649.99 listing, and merchant pricing can shift quickly as current stock runs down.
