Motorola has begun pushing its official Android 17 update to the Razr Ultra 2026 for users in the United States. Arriving as an over-the-air package, the installation weighs in at 4.17GB and shifts the foldable's software build to version A171WLH.38-19-5.
Given the footprint of the download, you will want a reliable Wi-Fi connection before triggering the process. The release marks the latest step in Motorola's operating system upgrade cycle, bringing Google's newest platform version alongside a set of proprietary interface tweaks tailored to the company's hardware.
The headline addition inside the software package is Qira, Motorola's dedicated AI agent. First previewed at CES in January, the assistant was slated last month to make its debut with the manufacturer's Android 17 rollout. Its arrival here brings on-device generative tasks and automated shortcuts directly to the flip phone's interface.
Hardware interaction gets a notable tweak as well. Motorola now permits owners to remap the double-tap gesture on the dedicated AI Key, letting users bind the physical trigger to a different action if they prefer not to invoke default assistants. Minor tactile adjustments also appear across the system, including subtle haptic vibration whenever you swipe away a notification.
On the display side, the firmware expands color calibration through a dedicated HDR slider. Labeled Intensity, the control is designed to brighten and expand screen clarity alongside color range when viewing high dynamic range media. The update notes also outline a visual redesign that trims interface clutter, introduces reorganized notification handling, improves security protections, and enables faster multitasking by keeping more applications active at the same time.
Motorola has not yet shared specific rollout dates for other regions, including India and Europe, where the Razr Ultra 2026 is also sold. Carrier-locked units and regional variants typically receive platform updates in staged batches over the weeks following an initial American release.
