Samsung has pushed the stable One UI 9.0 update — based on Android 17, to the Galaxy A56 globally, starting with the Middle East and South Korea. The rollout is now live for users in those regions, with firmware version A566BXXUEDZJ1 and a download size of 2,314.37MB. Users elsewhere can check for it manually via Settings > Software update > Check for updates, though Samsung hasn’t confirmed a full global timetable yet.  The update brings deeper customization for the Quick Panel, refinements to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, new accessibility tools, and a location privacy indicator. All standard across the A56’s software tier.  AI features bundled with One UI 9.0 are not included on the A56. Samsung confirms they’re restricted to Galaxy Z, Galaxy S, and Galaxy Tab S series devices, meaning the A56 gets the core Android 17 foundation and Samsung’s interface upgrades, but none of the generative or on-device AI layers found on flagships.  That’s consistent with Samsung’s segmentation: the A-series remains focused on stability, security patches, and interface polish, not bleeding-edge AI.  No price change, no hardware revision. Just a clean, verified OS upgrade arriving now.  Samsung says the update is stable. That means it’s out of beta testing and cleared for broad deployment. What comes next? Wider regional availability, likely India and Europe in the coming days. And the usual trickle to other A-series models, though only the A56 is confirmed for this specific build today.
