The U.K. Has no confirmed premiere date for Season 2. ITVX will carry it free when it arrives. But Season 1 only landed there last month, over a year after its U.S. Debut. Amazon Prime in the U.K. Currently offers Season 1 with a free trial for new users.
Free options
ITVX is the only confirmed free option, but only for U.K. Viewers, and only once the season arrives. No free U.S., Canadian, or Australian streaming tier is mentioned in the sources. Peacock’s free tier does not include The Rainmaker.
What to expect from Season 2
Milo Callaghan returns as Rudy Baylor, now at J. Lyman Stone alongside Lana Parilla’s Jocelyn Stone and P.J. Byrne’s Deck Shifflet. The season opens with Baylor tackling high-stakes cases. Including one involving hundreds of children and another entangled with his ex Sarah (Madison Iseman) and an international conspiracy.
Jocelyn’s ex-husband also draws her into a legal crisis threatening a minor league pitcher she coaches.
Callaghan described the season as “bigger and better” than Season 1, promising deeper backstories, new faces, and reappearances from familiar ones. The show remains inspired by John Grisham’s 1995 novel but tells an original story using its characters and themes.
Episode count remains unconfirmed. Season 3 has not been announced.
