Vivo V80 launches in India at ₹62,999. Vivo S2 FE follows at ₹38,999. Both go on sale today — 6 October 2026, via vivo.in and Flipkart, per Mint Tech and Digit. No pre-orders or early access windows are mentioned. The pricing positions the V80 squarely above last year’s V70, which launched at ₹54,999 in February 2025, while the S2 FE undercuts the outgoing S1 FE by ₹4,000. Neither device is a rebrand: both carry new chipsets, larger batteries, and updated display specs versus their predecessors. And both ship with Android 17-based OriginOS 7. Confirmed by Gadgets 360, making them among the first Indian-market phones to run the OS out of the box. But they diverge sharply in focus. The V80 is built for optics and responsiveness: Zeiss-tuned triple cameras (50MP main + 50MP telephoto + 8MP ultra-wide), OIS on the main sensor, a 144Hz AMOLED panel peaking at 5,000 nits, and 90W charging. The S2 FE leans into endurance: a 10,000mAh battery. The largest in any vivo phone sold in India to date, paired with a 120Hz AMOLED display rated at 2,000 nits HBM and 44W charging. Its camera stack is pared back to a 50MP main + 2MP bokeh sensor, with a 32MP front shooter. Colour options split cleanly: V80 in Stellar Black, Horizon Blue, Sunrise Anthem. S2 FE in Zen White, Titan Black, Stellar Green. No variants beyond those listed. No mention of RAM/storage tiers in any source. That means the ₹62,999 and ₹38,999 prices are for single configurations only. Vivo hasn’t disclosed what those configurations are. The launch arrives alongside the Vivo X Fold 6, also announced today. But neither Digit nor Gadgets 360 links the V80 or S2 FE to foldable software features or cross-device sync. They’re standalone slabs. And while the V80 inherits the Zeiss branding from the X Fold 6, its telephoto lens lacks periscope optics, unlike the X Fold 6’s 200MP unit. And its Dimensity 7300e sibling doesn’t share the same imaging pipeline. What’s next? Flipkart listings go live at 12 PM IST. Vivo.in shows ‘available for purchase’ as of publishing. No carrier exclusives or EMI terms are cited. And no word yet on whether the 10,000mAh battery triggers regulatory scrutiny under India’s BIS certification rules for high-capacity cells, a question that surfaced during the Realme GT Neo 6 SE launch earlier this year.
