The 2026 World Series pits the Milwaukee Brewers against the Tampa Bay Rays in a best-of-seven matchup that can run up to nine days. No outlet has published an exact first-pitch time for the opener, but the series begins at American Family Field in Milwaukee, where the Brewers hold home-field advantage after a franchise-record 103 regular-season wins, the most of any team in the majors this year.

The Brewers host Games 1, 2, 6 and 7, if those last two are needed. It's a first World Series trip for Milwaukee since 1982, when the club lost in seven games to the St Louis Cardinals. This time the Brewers got here by beating the San Diego Padres in the NL Division Series, then sweeping the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL Championship Series. Starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski, who's been clocked averaging around 100.6 mph on his fastball, and second baseman Brice Turang are among the names to watch.

Tampa Bay returns to the Fall Classic for a third time, having lost in 2008 to the Philadelphia Phillies and in 2020 to the Dodgers. The Rays host Games 3, 4 and a possible Game 5 at Tropicana Field in St Petersburg, Florida. Starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen and ALCS MVP Freddy Peralta lead the roster. Peralta spent several seasons with Milwaukee before a January 2026 trade sent him to Tampa Bay, setting up a reunion with his old team on the sport's biggest stage.

Free options

Outside the US, UK, Australia and Canada, free broadcasts are confirmed in just three countries so far: TCS in El Salvador, RPC TV in Panama and Canal 4 in Nicaragua. Elsewhere, following the series means going through one of the paid broadcasters above, since none of the major US or UK rights holders have announced an ad-supported free stream for this year's World Series.

What to expect

With both franchises chasing a first title, every game carries extra weight. Milwaukee's pitching depth and a lineup built around contact and speed go up against a Tampa Bay roster that leaned on Peralta's playoff form to get past the ALCS. Coverage picks up as soon as Game 1 is underway at American Family Field, with the series shifting to Tropicana Field for Games 3 through 5 and back to Milwaukee if it goes the distance.
