Amazon is selling the Apple AirPods Pro 3 for $199, a $50 cut from the usual $249 price, as of Wednesday. The discount is specific to Amazon. Apple's own store and Best Buy are still listing the earbuds at full price, so the gap is worth knowing about before you buy.
The AirPods Pro 3 launched as Apple's current flagship earbuds, and the pitch is less about raw audio hardware than how deeply they tie into an iPhone. Apple calls their active noise cancellation the best in any earbud it sells, a claim that hasn't been independently verified here but reflects how the company is positioning the product against rivals like Sony and Bose.
The bigger talking point since launch has been Live Translation, a feature built on Apple Intelligence that lets someone speak in one language and have the AirPods Pro 3 translate it into the wearer's ear in another. It works roughly the way Google's Pixel Buds Pro 2 handle real-time translation, though how well it performs depends heavily on which languages are involved and hasn't been tested by this desk.
Battery life is rated at up to 8 hours per charge with noise cancellation switched on, according to Apple. That's a solid number for earbuds running ANC continuously, though not the longest on the market, and the charging case adds extra hours on top for a full day of use.
For anyone comparing against older Apple options, the AirPods Pro 3 remain the company's top-tier earbuds, sitting above the AirPods Pro 2 and the standard AirPods 5 in both price and feature set. Apple has not discounted either of those models alongside this Amazon deal, and sources haven't indicated how long the $199 price will last.
That's worth flagging given how deal pricing moves. Amazon doesn't guarantee a markdown stays in place, and a $50 cut on a product this recent could disappear as quickly as it showed up, particularly heading into the holiday shopping season when earbuds tend to see heavier promotional activity across retailers.
For now, anyone set on the AirPods Pro 3 and not particular about where they buy them has a clear reason to check Amazon before Apple's own store. Whether that gap holds through Black Friday, or whether Best Buy and Apple eventually match it, is the next thing worth watching.
