Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving, with Cyber Monday on November 30. This year the sale needs more care than usual: memory and storage costs pushed up the list prices of laptops, phones and every games console during 2026, so a discount that looks the same size as last year's can still leave you paying more. When the sales start
Only Target had published its calendar when we checked on October 26. Its holiday press release of October 21 sets early Black Friday deals for November 5 to 7, a Deal of the Day every day from November 1 to December 24, and new offers every weekend of the season.
Best Buy says its holiday savings start in October, with home theater and computing among the first categories, but has not named a Black Friday date; last year its Black Friday Sale began on November 20. Amazon has not announced 2026 dates; in 2025 its Black Friday Week ran from November 20 to December 1.
The pattern from last year holds across every category we tracked: the big prices arrive around November 20, a week before Black Friday itself, and run through Cyber Monday.

Three rules that apply to every category
- Judge the final price, not the discount. List prices rose during 2026 for laptops, phones and consoles. A "$100 off" sticker on a product that got $100 dearer in the spring is no saving at all. Each guide gives you the list price and last year's low side by side.
- The best prices land around November 20. In 2025, Amazon's Black Friday Week opened on November 20, Best Buy's sale began the same day, and the record lows reviewers tracked for TVs, headphones and soundbars arrived in that week, not on the Friday.
- Buy at last year's low, do not wait for better. Many of last year's lows were first ever discounts, and in categories where prices rose, matching them would be a result. Early deals can fall further, but the best sets and bundles sell out.
