Amazon's October promotion marked down several Apple smartwatches on Wednesday, offering initial savings on recently released models while cutting inventory prices on outgoing hardware.
According to Macworld's tracking published Wednesday morning, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 was listed at $25 off its regular $799 starting price on Amazon in the United States. That trim comes barely a month after the device arrived in September. The Ultra 4 features an estimated 50-hour normal battery lifespan, up from the 42 hours quoted for its predecessor, alongside Apple's newer Health Sensing System, precision dual-frequency GPS, and satellite communication in a 49mm titanium enclosure.
Discounts on recent models in the United Kingdom remain harder to find, but previous-generation versions showed deeper reductions. Macworld reported that UK shoppers could find the Apple Watch Ultra 3 listed at £549 on Wednesday morning. That puts the outgoing model £200 below the £749 standard tag of the Ultra 4. While the Ultra 3 retains dual-frequency GPS and satellite communication, it relies on an older sensor arrangement and caps official battery longevity at 42 hours.
A comparable split appeared in standard smartwatch tiers. In the UK, the 42mm Apple Watch Series 11 was listed at £259 during the sale, sitting £110 under the £369 list price attached to the Series 12. Buyers passing on the Series 12 forgo the newer Health Sensing System and Audio Intelligence features, though both models share a quoted 24-hour battery endurance rating. In the US, Macworld noted that new inventory for the Series 11 was unavailable, leaving only pre-owned stock through the retailer.
Budget-focused shoppers saw movement on the Apple Watch SE 3 as well. Amazon in the US listed the entry model at $199, down $50 from its $249 starting retail cost. In the UK, the device showed a £20 reduction from its £219 base price. The SE 3 runs on an S10 processor and carries temperature sensors alongside fast charging, but skips electrocardiogram capabilities, blood oxygen tracking, and the newer sensor suite found on flagship units.
Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days event concludes on Wednesday, October 7, leaving pricing on remaining inventory subject to change as retailers adjust post-sale stock.
