Amazon left several notable price cuts active across Garmin's smartwatch catalogue after Prime Day concluded, according to tracking published Thursday night by Tom's Guide.
The steepest markdown hit the Garmin Instinct 3. The outdoor-focused wearable was listed at $100 below its standard retail price on Amazon when Tom's Guide logged the listing on October 8. The device targets endurance-heavy activities, boasting the longest battery life in Garmin's current stable. Dan Bracaglia of Tom's Guide highlighted its rugged shell and accurate activity sensors for outdoor pursuits including hiking, cycling, snowboarding, and climbing.
Buyers shopping for entry-level running gear saw discounts on older hardware as well. The Garmin Forerunner 55 was listed at $161 on Amazon, down from its usual $199 price point. That starter watch has occupied Garmin's catalogue for several years and was recently succeeded by the newer Forerunner 70. It skips modern conveniences such as an AMOLED panel, touch controls, NFC contactless payment support, and offline music storage. Instead, the watch focuses on physical push buttons, dependable sports metrics, and extended battery life packed inside a lightweight casing.
Garmin's mid-tier running watches saw price drops as well. The newly released Garmin Forerunner 170 was marked down by 10 percent on Amazon. As the direct successor to the Forerunner 165, the 170 serves as the company's newest mid-range running tracker. It brings a bright color touchscreen flanked by five traditional physical buttons, onboard music storage, and Garmin's deeper training and recovery analysis tools.
Its predecessor remains available at a markdown too. The older Forerunner 165 was listed on sale through Amazon when Tom's Guide checked inventory. While the 165 lacks the more sophisticated recovery metrics found on the newer 170, the reporting noted it stays a capable option aimed at beginner runners seeking solid tracking and long runtimes between charges.
Rounding out the post-sale discounts is the Garmin Vivoactive 6. Positioned as one of the brand's thinnest and lightest wearable designs, it pairs fitness metrics with daily smartwatch perks. The hardware includes contactless NFC checkout, local music playback, live location broadcasting, and a crisp display rated for up to seven days of use on a single charge.
Promotional pricing on Amazon tends to shift quickly once retail events conclude. Available stock and final checkout totals depend on merchant inventory and can revert at any moment.
