Apple Creator Studio is getting its biggest update since launch, and the company timed it to land alongside the M6 MacBook Pro and M6 iMac. The upgrade adds beta AI assistants to Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers, folds the MotionVFX effects library into Final Cut Pro, and teaches Pixelmator Pro to fill in parts of an image from a typed description. It arrives on the App Store in November.
India's pricing stays untouched. New subscribers pay ₹399 a month or ₹3,999 a year, while students and educators get in for ₹199 a month or ₹1,999 a year. Anyone already paying for Creator Studio gets the update free. Apple is also throwing in a one-month trial for new sign-ups, and buying a new Mac or an eligible iPad unlocks three months at no cost. Family Sharing lets one plan cover six people, though that perk skips the student and educator tiers.
What actually changes in the apps
Logic Pro's assistant, built on a mix of Apple's own models and OpenAI's, is meant to help with the unglamorous parts of music-making: starting a song from scratch, setting up vocal tracks, nudging a stalled project forward with a text prompt. The app also gets a redesigned Browser for finding sounds faster and a Stem Splitter that can now pull drums out of an existing recording on their own.
Keynote, Pages and Numbers pick up their own beta assistants alongside MCP support, a protocol that lets third-party AI agents reach into a document and edit it directly rather than you copying text back and forth. New stock video in the Content Hub and fresh premium themes round that out.
Final Cut Pro's upgrade is less about AI and more about inheritance. It absorbs MotionVFX wholesale, adding thousands of effects, titles, transitions and templates, plus rotoscoping, tracking and color-grading tools that used to live in a separate paid plugin pack. Motion gets the same MotionVFX plugins for 3D camera tracking and cinematic grading. Compressor can now encode Cinematic mode footage shot on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo, and both Final Cut Pro and Motion let editors adjust focus points and depth of field on supported iPhone 18 Pro clips after the fact.
Pixelmator Pro's party trick is Generate Fill. Circle something in a photo, describe what should replace it in plain text, and the app produces a result matched to the surrounding light, perspective and texture, according to Apple. You can also open a Final Cut timeline image in Pixelmator Pro, edit it, and send it straight back without reimporting the file.
The bigger play
Apple is positioning Creator Studio as a direct alternative to Adobe Creative Cloud, and the bet is that bundling AI assistants, a third-party effects library and premium app tiers into one monthly fee makes more sense than a stack of separate subscriptions. Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform keep their free versions on new iPhones, Macs and iPads, but the new assistants are locked to paying subscribers. Freeform itself gets more features in December, Apple says, with no specifics yet on what they'll be.
