Aryabhatt Ka Zero, the Hindi social drama starring Himansh Kohli, has moved from theaters to JioHotstar, where it's streaming behind a subscription wall in India.
The film opened in Indian cinemas on August 7, 2026, and despite the title's nod to the mathematician credited with formalizing zero, it isn't a biopic. It follows Brahmagupta Srivastav, known as Baggu, who loses his romantic interest to a government officer and sets out to become one himself, rebuilding his sense of self-worth along the way. The premise sits in familiar territory for Hindi cinema, echoing films like Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana and 12th Fail.
Himansh Kohli, known for Yaariyaan and Gahvara, plays Baggu. Sonnalli Seygall, who appeared in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, co-stars, with Ravi Kishan (Laapataa Ladies, Mirzapur: The Movie) and Alka Amin (Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Badhaai Ho) in supporting roles.
Where to watch

JioHotstar operates in several countries beyond India, including the US through Hulu, as well as the UK and Canada. But Aryabhatt Ka Zero has not turned up in any of those libraries. For now, watching it means having access to an Indian JioHotstar account.
What it costs
JioHotstar runs tiered plans in India, and none of them hand this title over for free. The ad-supported Mobile plan starts at Rs 149 a quarter or Rs 499 a year. A broader ad-supported Super plan costs Rs 149 a month or Rs 1,099 a year. The ad-free Premium tier runs Rs 299 a month or Rs 1,499 a year.
Any of those plans also opens up JioHotstar's sports catalog, including the Premier League, NFL, IPL, MLB, rugby and a heavy rotation of domestic and international cricket, alongside reality staples like Bigg Boss. So for Indian subscribers already paying for live sport, Aryabhatt Ka Zero is simply part of what's included rather than an extra purchase.
There's no word yet on whether the film will land on JioHotstar's international storefronts, and nothing in the platform's public plans points to an expansion of its library in the US, UK or Canada for this title specifically. Viewers outside India hoping to catch it will need to watch for an announcement from JioHotstar on broader availability.
