Luke Littler is putting his world title on the line against 24 people who are, by the standards of professional darts, complete strangers to the oche spotlight.

The show is called Beat Luke Littler, and Netflix will carry it globally. The streamer has not published an exact broadcast date or start time in the materials available so far, so treat any date you see elsewhere as unconfirmed until Netflix posts it on the show's page.

The format is simple and brutal. Each challenger gets one leg of 501, the standard darts opening count, against the 19-year-old. Beat him once, and you walk away with £501,000. Lose, and the next challenger steps up. The contest ends the moment somebody actually beats Littler, however long that takes.

Twenty-four contestants were selected for the show, ranging in age from 15 to 57. Most will be unfamiliar names, including a bin worker from Bedford, a Nando's restaurant manager and a former British Army captain. But a few are serious players. Women's world number three Fallon Sherrock is in the field, alongside two-time World Youth Championship winner Mitchell Lawrie and 14-year-old Jayden Walker. The 24 will compete for 20 spots and then be split into groups before facing Littler in a random order.

Littler himself isn't pretending this is a victory lap. "There's half a million quid up for grabs. I won't be going easy at all," he said. "Maybe the first few legs could be a bit nervy, but once I get going, then I don't think anyone will stop me."

That confidence comes from a short but loaded resume. Littler became the youngest world champion in darts history at 17, has 30 PDC titles including 14 majors, and made TIME's 100 Most Influential People in Sports 2026 list. He also appeared in the Netflix documentary series Matchroom: The Greatest Showmen, which makes this special something of a follow-up rather than a one-off licensing deal.

Where to watch

Country | Channel or service | Free or paid --- | --- | --- UK | Netflix | Paid (subscription required) US | Netflix | Paid (subscription required) Canada | Netflix | Paid (subscription required) Australia | Netflix | Paid (subscription required)

Those are the four markets named in the reporting so far. Netflix operates in far more countries than that, and since the show is billed as a global release, it should appear in most regional libraries, including India, once it lands. No free, ad-supported or over-the-air option has been mentioned for this title.

What to expect

Expect short, tense legs rather than a drawn-out match. With 24 players cycling through single legs of 501, the show is built around quick turnarounds and the possibility that any one of them, especially Sherrock, Lawrie or Walker, could end Littler's run early. The rest of the field is there for contrast, ordinary players given one shot against a two-time world champion with half a million pounds riding on nine darts or fewer.

Netflix has not said whether a second season or a rematch format is planned. For now, the only confirmed detail is that it streams worldwide on Netflix, with the exact date left for the platform to announce.
