Dell opened seasonal discounts across its personal computer lineup, marking down mobile systems and desktop hardware through its digital storefront and outlet division. When Wired reported the catalog reductions on October 14, 2026, buyers could find price cuts reaching $500 on mainstream machines, alongside double-digit percentage savings for academic shoppers.
Student savings on Dell laptops
College students verifying an academic email address through Dell Rewards can claim 10 percent off Dell XPS laptops and Alienware gaming setups. On select configurations, Dell bundles what it calls the Microsoft College Offer. That perk adds a one-year subscription to Microsoft 365, an Xbox Game Pass membership and a custom Xbox controller at no extra charge, an add-on package the company values at more than $500.
The Dell 14 Plus was listed at $860 for verified student accounts when Wired checked the storefront, reflecting a $350 reduction from list price. That build features an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor with eight cores, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of solid-state storage and Intel Arc graphics under Windows 11 Home. Buyers looking for different screen sizes saw Dell take $200 off the Dell 15 laptop and knock $500 off the Dell 16 Plus.
Shoppers hunting lower price points can look at certified pre-owned units through the Dell Outlet. A refurbished Dell 14 Premium was listed at $1,036 on Dell's site, marking a $259 saving against the standard rate. The machine features Intel Arc 140T graphics along with a hybrid RGB and infrared webcam.
Alienware drops and monitor deals
Demanding gamers saw Alienware gear receive hefty cuts. Wired tracked a $400 discount on the Alienware 16X Aurora laptop and $450 off the Alienware 18 Area-51. On the desktop side, Dell discounted the flagship Alienware Area-51 tower by $1,200. The Alienware Aurora gaming rig dropped by $350, while the Tower Plus fell by $200.
Standalone displays joined the sale event. Dell 27 Plus 4K monitors started at $129. For curved and OLED hardware, Alienware's 34 Curved QD-OLED display saw a $400 cut, the Alienware 4K QD-OLED fell by $100, and the 27-inch Alienware gaming panel dropped by $120. Dell also knocked 30 percent off its 24-inch monitor when purchased alongside any computer. Outside Dell's in-house equipment, Bose QuietComfort headphones were listed at $199, a markdown of $160.
Bundles and loyalty codes
Shoppers can trim totals further through stackable perks. First-time email subscribers receive 10 percent off, while promo code AFFBUNDLE10 takes another 10 percent off accessories bundled with qualifying computers. Military personnel, veterans and enterprise buyers receive 5 percent through GovX or VCS verification, with an equivalent path open for verified seniors. Regular Dell Rewards accounts earn 6 percent back in store points across most items, which climbs to 9 percent on select Alienware displays. New Dell Pay Credit Account signups also secure $100 in rewards points upon enrollment.
Dell maintains these rolling promotional prices while existing inventory lasts.
