Flipkart has set a date for its next big shopping event. The Big Bang Diwali Sale 2026 kicks off on October 28, the company said Monday, and the iPhone 17 headlines a phone lineup that stretches all the way down to sub-Rs 10,000 budget devices.
The financing terms are the part Flipkart is leading with this time. Shoppers using an SBI credit or debit card, or paying through SBI credit card EMI, get an instant 10 percent discount at checkout. Flipkart is also offering credit lines of up to Rs 2 lakh for the sale period, along with no-cost EMI options that let buyers split a purchase without paying interest. Anyone using Flipkart's own Pay Later service gets a flat Rs 1,000 off on top of that.
None of this comes with actual sale prices yet. Flipkart has confirmed which phones will be discounted without saying by how much, so the iPhone 17's eventual Diwali price is still a blank for now. That's typical for these pre-sale teasers, pricing tends to land closer to the sale's start, or on the day itself.
The rest of the list is a mix of mainstream and budget hardware. The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE sits alongside Motorola's Edge 70 Pro and Nothing Phone (4a) as the more premium options confirmed so far. Below that, Flipkart is listing the Oppo K14x 5G, Vivo T5 Lite, Poco X8 Power, Realme P4 Power 5G, HMD Vibe 2 5G and Moto G37 Power, plus two Ai+ phones, the Nova 2 Power 5G and Nova 2 Neo, and the Boltt Ace.
That's a wider spread than most festive sales bother with. Pitting a current-generation iPhone against a stack of phones well under Rs 15,000 suggests Flipkart wants this event to pull in shoppers at every budget tier, not just the ones chasing a flagship discount.
For context, rival Amazon typically runs a parallel festive sale around the same window, and Flipkart's own Galaxy S25 Ultra price cut to Rs 80,063 earlier this month shows discounting has already started ahead of Diwali proper. Whether the iPhone 17 gets a similarly steep cut once the Big Bang sale opens is the question actual buyers will be watching for on October 28.
Flipkart hasn't said whether the discounts apply across storage variants or colours, or whether bank offers stack with exchange bonuses, details that usually surface once the sale microsite goes live. Shoppers weighing a purchase now have two days to wait and see what the actual price tags look like.
