Galaxy Z Fold 8 Open-Box Units Fall As Much As $580 At Best Buy

Samsung's latest foldable joins a Wednesday deals roundup that also knocks $420 off the Galaxy S26 Ultra, half the price off Amazon's new Fire TV Stick 4K, and $1,000 off an LG OLED just before GTA VI lands.

Open-box units of Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 are selling for as much as $580 less than list price at Best Buy, according to a 9to5Google deals roundup published Wednesday. The retailer's "excellent condition" open-box stock includes a 256GB Graphite model that's now roughly $50 cheaper than it was earlier in the week, and a Lavender 512GB configuration carrying the steepest cut, $20 deeper than the discount 9to5Google had spotted previously on that unit.

Open-box doesn't mean used in the traditional sense. Best Buy grades returned or display units by condition, and "excellent" is the top tier, typically meaning the device shows little to no wear and comes with most or all original accessories, though Best Buy's own listings are the final word on what's included for a given unit.

Shoppers who want a sealed, brand-new Galaxy Z Fold 8 aren't shut out of savings either. 9to5Google notes that Amazon and Samsung's own site still carry roughly $200 off the current Fold 8 lineup, a smaller discount than the open-box deals but without the condition caveat.

The same roundup lists a $420 price drop on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung's current camera flagship, though the piece doesn't specify the retailer or exact sale price for that cut.

Fire TV Stick 4K back at its launch price

Amazon's newest Fire TV Stick 4K, which debuted less than a month ago, is listed at $29.99 with free shipping for Prime members or on orders over $35, per 9to5Google. That's half off its $60 list price and matches the discount Amazon used as a launch promotion before the stick returned to full price. The company says the new model pulls content "nearly 20 to 40% faster than a similarly priced 4K stick from another leading brand" and adds a slimmer build with a Direct Power feature that lets the stick draw power straight from a TV's USB port.

A handful of other listings round out the roundup. Amazon has the Belkin 25W UltraCharge Modular Charging Dock, a 3-in-1 Qi2.2 magnetic charger with a swappable smartwatch puck for Galaxy, Pixel and Apple Watch owners, at $54.99, down from $65. Hyper's 2026 HyperDrive Next Thunderbolt 5 Dock with a built-in SSD enclosure is listed at $299.99, a $100 cut from its $400 price and what 9to5Google calls a new Amazon all-time low, offering 120Gbps speeds and multi-display support.

The LG 55-inch C6 OLED evo AI 4K television is the other headline item, at $999.99, a full $1,000 under its original 2026 launch price and, per the roundup, an Amazon all-time low. Larger screen sizes in the same line are discounted too. The timing lines up with two big game releases 9to5Google flags as approaching: Grand Theft Auto VI and the Zelda Ocarina of Time remake.

All of these prices were current when 9to5Google published its roundup Wednesday morning. Retail pricing on open-box and promotional stock moves fast, so anyone chasing a specific configuration should check the live listing before checking out.
