Google has launched a new enterprise AI agent built into Gemini Enterprise — one that works across Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slack, and Microsoft 365 from a single chat interface. It’s not a standalone app. It lives inside the existing Gemini Enterprise app, and it runs in the cloud, so context stays synced whether you’re typing on a laptop, tapping on an Android phone, or pasting a request into Slack on desktop. The agent can delegate to specialized sub-agents, handle multi-step workflows, and even act as a “coworker agent” with its own company email address: @agents.company.com. That identity lets it receive messages, schedule meetings, draft replies, and surface documents. All without switching tabs or apps. It’s designed for tasks like pulling sales data from Sheets into a Docs report, summarizing unread threads in Gmail before a meeting, or cross-referencing calendar availability while booking a vendor call in Calendar. Google says the agent picks the best AI model for each job automatically, no manual selection required. This is not the consumer-facing Gemini Spark, which launched in May and operates through a separate interface inside the main Gemini app. The new agent is strictly for businesses. It’s in private preview now, exclusively for Gemini Enterprise customers. No pricing, rollout timeline, or general availability date was announced. But given that Gemini Enterprise starts at $30 per user per month in the US and Rs 2,499 per user per month in India, this agent will land only where those subscriptions already run. And only after Google finishes tuning it for real-world workflows. Next step: public beta, then full rollout. Until then, it remains a controlled test, not a feature you can turn on.
Gemini agent for work: Google launches cross-app AI in Gmail, Drive, Docs
A single interface. Cross-app context. A dedicated email address. Google’s new Gemini agent for enterprises is live in private preview — but only inside Gemini Enterprise.
