Godox has introduced the Litemons SR20R, a portable full-color ring light built specifically for phone setups and handheld gimbal gear. Priced at $89 in the US, the unit is available to order immediately.

Rather than sitting strictly atop a cold shoe or anchoring to a desk stand, the SR20R forms an illuminated halo designed to enclose mobile hardware. Godox pitched the form factor at vloggers, streamers and short-form video producers who rely on pocket equipment such as the DJI Osmo Pocket or Insta360 Luna systems alongside conventional smartphones.

Versatile Mounting and Phone Controls

A sliding 1/4-20-inch adapter allows creators to mount phones horizontally or shift the bracket toward the edges for vertical footage. Action cameras and smaller interchangeable-lens cameras can fit inside the ring as well, provided the body is not overly bulky. For studio setups, three external 1/4-20-inch threads let users attach the entire rig straight to standard light stands.

Operation splits between physical dials on the hardware and wireless adjustment over Bluetooth through a companion smartphone application. The fixture covers full-spectrum RGB output alongside standard color temperature adjustments spanning 2800K to 6500K. Godox rates both CRI and TLCI at greater than 96, aiming for steady color fidelity across that white-balance spectrum, and loaded the firmware with 14 preset lighting effects.

Battery Life and Brightness Specs

Bare output reaches 1510 lux at a distance of 1.6 feet, which drops to 393 lux at 3.3 feet. That gives near-field shooters enough punch for close face lighting, with Godox noting the beam can counteract ambient outdoor glare in select setups.

Power runs off an integrated 4,800mAh lithium pack rather than removable camera cells. Godox claims that capacity delivers around 1.5 hours of continuous runtime when dialed to maximum output. Recharging relies on an onboard USB-C port, taking slightly over two hours to take an empty cell back to 100 percent.

The launch follows a busy release schedule for the lighting brand. Earlier in the week, Godox rolled out the A2, a magnetic pocket module combining flash and continuous LED output for phone backs. With the Litemons SR20R now in retail channels for $89, creators building mobile vlogging kits get a dedicated ring alternative without carrying standalone battery plates or heavy mounting cages.
