A Chinese-language retailer has listed a physical GTA 6 PS5 disc — but it’s not playable. The listing, shared on social media and spotted by Notebookcheck, shows what appears to be an Ultimate Edition box with a PS5 disc inside, complete with custom artwork attributed to Shanghai- and London-based branding agency Lionheart. It’s labelled a “Commemorative Set Model”. No redemption code is included. No digital access. No game. Just a disc, likely blank or pre-recorded with non-game content. Sealed in packaging that mimics what Rockstar may eventually ship for the real release. The seller offers both Standard and Ultimate configurations, differentiated only by disc label design and box art. Neither includes a functional game key or store code. The Vice City Box, priced at $400 and already available. Remains the only official physical product tied to GTA 6. It contains merchandise only: a Macca The Gator figure, Oakley sunglasses, and other collectibles. No disc. No code. No gameplay. Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 is digital-only across all platforms. No physical PS5 or Xbox version has been announced, not for the US, not for Europe, not for Hong Kong, and certainly not for mainland China, where GTA 5 was never officially released. The listing may target collectors in Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Singapore, where Chinese-language retail is standard and digital pre-orders are live. But it’s not a leak. It’s not a preview. It’s a commemorative prop. Sold as a novelty, not software. Pre-order dummy cases have surfaced elsewhere, but this is the first known instance of a retailer listing one as if it were a purchasable product. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar have not endorsed it. Lionheart’s involvement, if real. Hasn’t been verified. And no regional PlayStation Store or Xbox storefront lists a redeemable SKU for any physical edition. GTA 6 remains scheduled for release in Fall 2025. Digital pre-orders are open. Physical copies are not coming. Not now. Not later. Not ever.
