Apple has confirmed nothing — but India Today Tech reports the iPhone 18 will launch in India between February and April 2027, most likely in March. It won’t be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, or iPhone Duo this September. Instead, it’s slated for a separate spring event, joining the iPhone Air 2 and iPhone 18e in Apple’s 2027 lineup shift.
Production is tipped to begin late November 2026, per Weibo tipster Fixed Focus Digital. The iPhone 18 will keep the 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with 120Hz ProMotion and 1.5K resolution, same size and refresh rate as the iPhone 17, but may gain higher peak brightness and marginally slimmer bezels. Dynamic Island design appears unchanged.
Recent leaks contradict earlier rumours of a smaller cutout. Under the hood: the A20 chip, built on TSMC’s 2nm process, is expected. It should deliver up to 30% better power efficiency than the A19, though Apple may use a non-Pro variant distinct from the A20 Pro in the Pro models.
RAM remains contested: analyst Ming-Chi Kuo forecasts 9GB. Jeff Pu expects 12GB. Either would mark an upgrade over the iPhone 17’s 8GB. Camera hardware stays dual-lens: 48MP main + ultra-wide.
A leaked dummy unit shows a horizontal camera bar with vertically stacked lenses, a new physical layout. Front-facing sensor could be 18MP or 24MP, depending on which leak holds. Other changes include a redesigned Camera Control button, Apple’s C2 modem, IP68 rating, and iOS 27, featuring a Siri rebuilt with Google Gemini tech, per the report, for deeper cross-app task execution and more natural conversation.
Price in India? Rs 99,900 is the projected starting point. But some reports suggest Apple may hold the line at Rs 79,900, the original iPhone 17 launch price. Storage options are expected to be 256GB and 512GB only.
No 1TB variant planned for the standard model. No US pricing is cited in the source. No availability date beyond the March 2027 window. No pre-order timing.
No carrier deals. No colour options. Just this: the base iPhone isn’t cancelled. It’s delayed, and repositioned.
