Apple has confirmed the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro are now built with critical components manufactured across more than a dozen US states — part of its $600 billion, four-year commitment to American manufacturing. The company named six suppliers delivering parts specifically for those two devices: Perryman Company supplies the grade 5 titanium enclosure for the iPhone Duo, using at least 80% recycled content.
Apple is committing up to $100 million over three years to support that effort. Qnity Electronics, headquartered in Delaware and newly joined to Apple’s American Manufacturing Program (AMP) in March, will produce advanced films essential to the variable aperture system in the iPhone 18 Pro’s main camera. Broadcom is expanding and modernizing its Fort Collins, Colorado facility under a $1.5 billion capital investment announced in July, a move tied to producing more than 15 billion US-made chips for Apple over the multiyear agreement.
Corning, an Apple partner since the original iPhone in 2007, makes Ceramic Shield glass in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. By year-end, all iPhone (including the Duo) and Apple Watch cover glass sold globally will come from that single site. Coherent supplies vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) tech from Sherman, Texas, used in Face ID and the redesigned Dynamic Island on both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
