Apple is surveying early iPhone Duo buyers about the crease, the under-display front camera, and trade-offs like its 5.4-inch outer display — confirming the device is now in hands, not just on spec sheets. The survey, spotted by MacRumors and sent to select customers, treats the Duo as a live product: questions ask how visible the fold line is, whether the 4MP under-screen camera distracts during video calls, and how the closed-size screen compares to past iPhones.
It’s the first public sign Apple is gathering real-world feedback on its first foldable, not from reviewers or leaks, but from people who paid for it. No price, launch date, or regional rollout details appear in the survey itself, and MacRumors doesn’t report them either. So while the iPhone Duo is clearly shipping, we still don’t know where, when, or for how much.
The $1,299 US price and ₹1,39,900 India price reported earlier this year remain unconfirmed by Apple, and unmentioned here. What is confirmed: the outer display matches the old iPhone mini’s 5.4 inches. The inner display’s selfie camera is fixed at 4MP. And Apple is deliberately skipping some of the loudest user complaints, no questions about Touch ID placement, cracked displays, or app compatibility.
That silence speaks. The survey ends with an open field: “What would you add or change about the iPhone Duo?” That’s not market research. That’s triage.
