Amazon has the LEGO Super Mario World Mario & Yoshi set down to $90. That's a 31% cut. And according to 9to5Toys, it's the lowest price the set has ever hit on the platform.
There's a catch, though. The set appears to have been officially retired. Once that happens, restocks usually stop for good. Retailers just sell through whatever's left.
9to5Toys called it "a near must-have for any Mushroom Kingdom collection" in its writeup of the deal. For collectors who've been waiting on a discount, this might be the last one. Buy new, or don't buy it at all.
The set belongs to LEGO's Super Mario line, which has turned Mario, Luigi and Yoshi into physical bricks and levels since 2020. It's been one of the company's steadier licensed tie-ins. Character-specific builds like this Mario and Yoshi pairing tend to cycle out faster than the core interactive figure sets. That's likely why this one is already gone from production.
The price cut isn't happening in isolation. 9to5Toys reports a wider fall Prime Day push on LEGO right now, with discounts up to 51% across Star Wars, Marvel, Botanicals and other retired sets. Some of those go for as little as $5. Amazon runs these promotions alongside its seasonal Prime Day events. Prices on individual sets can shift by the hour. The $90 figure reflects what was listed when 9to5Toys reported it on October 6.
Expect the same pattern elsewhere. Steep cuts show up most on sets nearing the end of their run. Then they disappear once the last units move. Right now, the Mario & Yoshi set is the one actually sitting at a record low, not just marked down.
No word yet on a replacement. Neither LEGO nor Nintendo has said anything about restocking this build or swapping in a new one. If it sells out at Amazon, the next stop is third-party marketplaces. Expect to pay more there.
