Motorola's Edge 70 lineup in India already runs four phones deep, counting the standard Edge 70, the Edge 70 Max, Edge 70 Fusion and Edge 70 Pro. A fifth is reportedly on the way. Tipster Sanju Chaudhary has laid out a detailed spec sheet for a phone called the Motorola Edge 70 Neo, and if it holds up, it's aiming squarely at buyers who care more about battery life than bragging rights.
The headline number is a 7,000mAh battery, paired with 45W wired charging, according to the leak. That's a big jump for a midrange Motorola phone and would put the Edge 70 Neo well ahead of most phones in its expected price bracket on raw capacity, though Motorola has said nothing to confirm the figure.
Chaudhary's post also describes a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED panel running at up to 144Hz, built on what's labelled QC OLED, along with IP64 certification for basic dust and splash resistance. Under the hood, the leak points to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, running Android 16 out of the box.
Cameras and colours, per the leak
On the camera front, the tip claims a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor, a 2MP macro lens and a 3-in-1 light sensor on the back, with a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Software support is tipped at four years of Android version upgrades and five years of security patches, which would match the longer support windows Motorola has been pushing across its recent Edge phones.
The leak also lists four colour options: Mountain View, Milky Blue, Sage and Grey Lilac, all Pantone-matched shades that Motorola has leaned on for past Edge launches.
None of this is official. Motorola hasn't announced the Edge 70 Neo, confirmed a launch window, or priced it. Digit's report, citing Chaudhary, pegs an expected India launch in early November 2026 and a price close to Rs 40,000, but cautions that the figure is not final and could shift by the time Motorola actually unveils the phone.
If the specs land close to what's been tipped, the Edge 70 Neo would slot in as a battery-first alternative to the Edge 70 Fusion and Edge 70, both already on sale in India, rather than a replacement for either. A 144Hz OLED screen and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip would put it in competition with recent midrange launches from Infinix, Realme and Samsung's A-series, most of which are still working with 5,000 to 6,000mAh batteries.
For now, everything rests on one tipster's claims. Motorola's own confirmation, including final pricing and an actual launch date, is the next thing to watch for before anyone treats these numbers as settled.
