The Nikon Z8 was listed at $3,297 on Amazon, down from $4,300, when DPReview checked prices on Tuesday during the retailer's fall Prime Big Deal Days sale. That's the lowest price the outlet has tracked for the camera, which normally sells well above $4,000. A body-with-lens bundle including the Nikkor Z 24-120mm F4 S was going for $4,197, down from $5,200, at the same time.
The sale runs through October 7 and requires an active Amazon Prime membership. Prices can shift mid-sale, so what's listed now may not hold by the time the event wraps up.
Nikon's older Z6 II and Z5 bodies matched their own all-time lows, at $1,297 (from $1,750) and $897 (from $1,147) respectively, per DPReview's check. The Z6 II kit with a 24-70mm F4 S lens was priced at $1,897, down from $2,350. Neither camera is current-generation, but both remain solid options if a full-frame Nikon body at a lower price point is the goal.
Outside Nikon's lineup, Canon's EOS R50 V with the RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens was down to $749 from $949. Fujifilm's X half was listed $100 cheaper than it had been during Amazon's June Prime Day, now at $449 versus $650. Panasonic's Lumix S9 was at $1,098, down from $1,198.
On the lens side, Sony's FE 50mm F1.4 GM was at its lowest tracked price of $1,198, down from $1,398. Sony's FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM was listed at $1,498 (from $1,798), and the smaller E 35mm F1.8 OSS at $400 (from $600). Canon's RF 800mm F11 IS STM, a budget option for long reach on EOS R bodies, matched its all-time low at $899, down from $1,198.
Action cameras and drones saw some of the steeper cuts. GoPro's Max2 was down to $300 from $500, and the GoPro LIT Hero to $180 from $270. DJI's Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo was listed at $495 (from $629), while B&H had the standard Osmo Pocket 3 at $395, down from $439. DJI's Neo was at $139 (from $199), and the Flip Fly More Combo with RC 2 controller was down to $588 from $779.
Memory cards and portable storage were discounted too, though DPReview cautioned that prices still sit well above where they were a year or two back, as demand from AI data centers has pushed memory costs up broadly. Sony's Tough CFexpress Type A 160GB card was listed at $330, down from $399. SanDisk's Extreme Portable SSD line ranged from $210 for 1TB to $715 for 4TB, and Samsung's 2TB T9 SSD was at $350, down from $490.
Competing retailers including B&H and Adorama have at times matched Amazon's Prime Day pricing on overlapping items, and shoppers comparing deals before the October 7 cutoff may want to check both before buying.
