Amazon kicked off its Week 1 early Black Friday Doorbusters on Thursday with $100 off every Pixel Watch 5 model, according to 9to5Google, which has been tracking the retailer's pricing history on Google's hardware. Outside a couple of brief, narrowly targeted promotions, these are the lowest prices Amazon has offered on the watch to date.
The discount applies across the Pixel Watch 5 lineup and lands alongside a broader push on Google devices this week. Best Buy is matching most of the same deals as part of its own Week 1 Doorbuster event, so shoppers aren't locked into one retailer to get the price cut.
The watch isn't the only Pixel hardware getting a markdown. Amazon is also offering up to $350 off the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, with new all-time lows across the board. 9to5Google notes that most configurations are now priced at least $50 below what they hit during the fall Prime Day event earlier this month, and some models have never sold for less outside of extremely limited, one-off offers.
Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also discounted. Amazon has all four colorways at $169 shipped, down from the regular $229 price, a cut of $60 or just over 25%. That's slightly below the fall Prime Day price point. The Hazel, Porcelain and Peony sets have dipped under $169 before, but none has sold for less than $160 at Amazon this year. The newer Olive colorway, introduced alongside the Pixel 11 and Pixel Watch 5 this summer, is now at its best price ever.
Rounding out the Pixel discounts, Amazon has also brought back all-time low pricing on most of Google's Pixelsnap case lineup, the magnetic cases built for the Pixel 11 series.
Why now
Black Friday doesn't officially land until late November, but retailers have been starting their promotions earlier each year to capture holiday shoppers before the crowd arrives. Amazon and Best Buy both labeling this "Week 1" suggests more price movement is likely in the weeks ahead, though there's no guarantee current levels hold or drop further. For anyone who's been waiting on a Pixel Watch 5 since it launched this summer, this is the cheapest the smartwatch has been at a major US retailer so far, and it arrives at the very start of what's typically a long stretch of competing holiday offers from Google, Amazon and Best Buy alike.
Shoppers comparing the watch against last year's Pixel Watch 4 should note that 9to5Google's report covers pricing only, not any spec or feature differences between the two generations. Anyone deciding between them will need to weigh that separately against what each model actually offers.
