Amazon has the 41mm Google Pixel Watch 5 with LTE down to $399.99, a $100 cut from its $499.99 list price, according to Android Authority, which reported the deal on Thursday. That is a 20 percent discount and, per the outlet, the lowest the watch has sold for since it launched.
The catch is the color. The price applies only to the Olive version of the watch. Shoppers who want a different band or case color won't get the same cut, at least not at this listing.
The appeal of the LTE model is that it works without a phone nearby. Calls, texts, music streaming and mobile data all run through the watch's own cellular connection, so you can leave your phone at home on a run and still take a call or stream a playlist. The watch runs Wear OS, keeps Google's familiar round case and OLED display, and carries support for Google Wallet, Maps and notifications.
Health tracking is a bigger focus this generation. The Pixel Watch 5 folds in Fitbit and Google health integration alongside what Google describes as improved GPS accuracy for outdoor workouts. Gemini also sits on the wrist here, powering voice assistance that is meant to handle more hands-free, on-device actions than past Pixel Watch software.
Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours for the 41mm size, and the watch supports wireless charging with faster top-up speeds than earlier Pixel Watch models offered. None of those battery figures have been independently verified outside Google's own rating, so treat 30 hours as the ceiling rather than a guarantee.
The watch has also built up a 4.4-star average on Amazon, per Android Authority, which is a reasonable signal for buyers who have been waiting on a price before committing.
For anyone comparing this against the Pixel Watch 4, the deal only covers the newer model, and no discount on the older watch is mentioned in this listing. If you're shopping on price alone, $399.99 narrows the gap with cheaper LTE smartwatches from Samsung and others, though neither source here lays out a side-by-side spec comparison.
The listing doesn't carry an end date, and Amazon deals on wearables like this tend to move fast, both in price and in which colorway qualifies. Anyone hunting for the discount should check the colorway and connectivity option carefully before checking out, since GPS-only and non-Olive LTE versions are not confirmed to carry the same $399.99 price.
