Reolink's OMVI 2i Ultra is now shipping, months after it picked up a dozen awards on the show floor at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The camera is priced at $229.99 in the US and £199.99 in the UK, according to T3, which also covers European and UK smart-home pricing closely. Reolink has not stated an India price.
That figure lands at the low end of what T3 had expected before launch, which was somewhere between $230 and $300 based on the UK price range Reolink was floating. A 10% launch discount is currently running on both Amazon and Reolink's own store, so early buyers are paying less than the sticker price either way.
The OMVI 2i Ultra is the newest entry in Reolink's OMVI line, and it's the first in that range to go fully wire-free. It runs on a detachable 10,000mAh battery that Reolink says can last up to six months on a single charge, assuming five minutes of recorded footage a day. A 6W solar panel ships in the box, and Reolink claims just 30 minutes of sunlight daily is enough to keep the camera topped up indefinitely, so owners in reasonably sunny spots may rarely need to pull the battery out at all.
The headline feature is the dual-camera setup. An 8MP wide-angle lens covers the broad scene, a driveway or a backyard, while a separate 5MP pan-and-tilt lens handles close tracking of whatever moves through frame. Reolink calls the handoff between the two SyncTrack, and says the pan-and-tilt camera keeps following a person or object even after they've walked out of the wide lens's field of view. That's the kind of thing dual-sensor outdoor cameras from Arlo and Eufy have tried to solve in different ways, usually with a single ultra-wide sensor doing digital cropping instead of a second physical lens doing the tracking.
None of that has been independently verified yet. Reolink's battery life and solar-charging figures are the company's own numbers, not measurements from a third party, and T3 says it plans to publish a full review of the OMVI 2i Ultra once it's had time with a unit.
For now, the camera is sold as a kit, body plus solar panel, at the one listed price, and it's up to buyers whether Reolink's wire-free pitch holds up over a full battery cycle. The real test, as with every solar-assisted security camera before it, will be how it performs through a stretch of short winter days rather than a sunny product demo.
