Ring is taking its 4K video hardware off the wire. The Amazon-owned security brand unveiled five new home monitoring devices, led by outdoor units that run on rechargeable cells for the first time.

Prices in the United States span from $69.99 to $219.99 across the family, which incorporates updated image processing the company labels Retinal Vision 4K alongside a rotating indoor model.

Battery Power for Ultra HD

Until now, upgrading to Ring's highest video resolution meant running electrical lines. That changes with the Outdoor Cam 4K Plus, which starts at $149.99 for its standalone battery build. The unit also sells in hardwired, PoE, solar, and standard plug-in formats. Ring packed radar-driven 3D Motion Detection into the shell, paired with app-controlled siren triggers and a 10x digital magnification tool.

The Spotlight Cam 4K Plus adopts the same five power arrangements at $199.99 for the cordless edition. It carries one Quick Release Ultra battery inside the package, with internal housing ready for an optional spare pack. Its integrated illumination defaults to 330 lumens to stretch endurance, though homeowners can dial output up to 550 lumens using software toggles.

Buyers needing more illumination get the $219.99 Floodlight Cam 4K Plus. Designed strictly for permanent wiring, the fixture delivers continuous 24/7 video capture alongside 2,000 lumens of motion-activated lighting. Mounting it requires a four-inch round, UL-certified exterior junction box.

Smarter Monitoring Indoors

Inside living spaces, the $99.99 Indoor Cam 4K delivers an ultra-high-definition feed across a 115-degree viewing expanse. Ring included Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, automated HDR tuning for backlit rooms, and up to 10x magnification. Physical safety controls include a detachable lens shield and a software mute for the microphone. A PoE build is also listed.

For rooms where people move around, the $69.99 Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam 2K solves blind spots with a motorized base. The mechanism handles full 360-degree horizontal panning and 175 degrees of vertical movement. An automatic tracking mode keeps moving subjects centered inside the frame during recorded clips or real-time viewing. Sliding its physical privacy shutter cuts both camera feeds and audio input simultaneously. The existing 1080p pan-tilt unit remains on shelves at $59.99.

Both indoor additions rolled out October 7 across the US, Canada, the UK, and eight European markets, with the motorized camera also reaching Australia and New Zealand. Preorders for the three exterior options are open now ahead of their October 27 shipping window.
