Cruising down Ocean Drive in Vice City has always depended as much on the dashboard tuner as the getaway vehicle. Rockstar Games has now pulled back the curtain on the first wave of GTA 6 radio stations, showing off a soundtrack lineup designed around the fictional state of Leonida.
The initial rollout confirms six stations spanning rap, metal, Latin rhythms, outlaw country, African sounds, and classic pop. Just as important as the musical genres, though, are two functional additions to how audio works across the game: dedicated podcasts and a portable headphone mode.
Dialing Across Leonida
Longtime players will immediately recognize Flash FM, which returns to handle pop hits under the direction of hosts Robyn and Alex. The hip-hop side leans heavily into regional flavor through Dirty South Classics, hosted by Trick and Trina to cover rap spanning beach fronts and city alleys.
For Latin music, Cocoteo FM steps in with hosts El Martillo and La Gata. That station covers a mix of reggaeton, bachata, dembow, and merengue. African music gets its own dedicated platform through AfroBank FM, steered by Burna and Palmsy. Rockstar says AfroBank will mix twentieth-century archival tracks with modern styles like 3-step and amapiano.
Heavy music lands on The Chamber 106.6, where DJ Kerry and DJ Tom spin 1980s metal classics alongside newer heavy tracks. Finally, Back Country Radio takes care of regional outposts like Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn. Hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, the outlaw country dial features field reporters, a swamp weather forecaster, and a regular call-in character named Mud Dog Mike.
Walking With Headphones and Podcasts
The bigger structural shifts come away from the traditional car dashboard. Grand Theft Auto is getting podcasts for the first time, giving players spoken-word talk and satire as an alternative to music during long drives or missions.
Audio will also no longer stop when you exit a stolen sedan. Rockstar confirmed players can put on headphones while walking around on foot. In previous entries, stepping out of a car meant losing the radio broadcast entirely until you hijacked another set of wheels. The new headphone option means foot exploration across Leonida will not have to happen in silence.
Rockstar has not published the complete tracklists or specific song titles for the stations yet. The full catalog will likely emerge closer to street date. GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
