Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches on Amazon Luna today — free for Prime members in the US and UK. No extra subscription, no download, no console required. Just open the Luna app or website and race through Tatooine’s canyons at launch day speed. The game arrives simultaneously on Windows, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, but only Luna players get it baked into Prime Video, as part of Amazon’s July 2026 integration of the cloud service into its flagship streaming tier. It’s the first time a major licensed AAA title has gone live on Luna at launch, not months later as a port or add-on. Developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, Galactic Racer offers three modes: a story-driven single-player campaign, Arcade (shorter, objective-based races), and Scenarios (custom rule sets, rotating characters). Amazon’s Head of Gaming Jeff Gattis called it “the kind of experience we want to deliver on Luna”. One aimed squarely at people who don’t own dedicated gaming hardware but still want access to big-IP, low-barrier games like Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and the upcoming Tomb Raider. That audience, Gattis said, “likes to play games, but they’re not able to play on a television screen”, and doesn’t necessarily want competitive shooters, but does want polished, accessible, IP-heavy experiences. Luna is live in the US, UK, Germany, and Canada. Pricing remains unchanged: included with Prime in the US and UK. €9.99/month in Germany. CA$12.99/month in Canada. No standalone price for Galactic Racer on Luna. It’s free for eligible Prime subscribers from day one. The game hits other platforms at standard retail pricing, but those figures aren’t disclosed in the reporting. Next up: more same-day launches, per Gattis, and more titles built for that “television-optional, controller-in-hand, no install” moment. Amazon says it’s just getting started.
