TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 opens its doors in San Francisco on October 13 at 8 a.m. PT, taking over Moscone West for a three-day run centered on early venture capital, raw product debuts, and young technology firms. Thousands of founders, angel investors, venture partners, and company executives are traveling to the Bay Area as event staff prepare the convention space.

For more than ten years, the conference has treated early startup discovery as its central pillar. The core of that effort this week is Startup Battlefield 200, an initiative that places a handpicked roster of 200 nascent firms directly before venture capitalists, tech media, prospective corporate buyers, and the broader tech ecosystem.

From that pool of 200 participants, exactly 20 finalists will advance to the main Disrupt Stage. Those founders will pitch their businesses under the lights to compete for the event's $100,000 cash prize and the Disrupt Cup trophy. The contest serves as the event's central proving ground, giving seed-stage teams an international platform to demonstrate unproven products to early backers.

Inside the Expo and Content Tracks

Away from the competitive stage, the Expo Hall floor will host more than 300 exhibiting startups spanning varied development stages and market categories. The layout allows attendees to speak directly with founding teams, inspect unreleased products, and track down early investment opportunities before broader attention arrives.

The conference agenda runs parallel to the exhibition floor with more than 200 sessions spread across six main stages, accompanied by smaller roundtables and breakout meetings. More than 250 technology leaders will direct those conversations. Programming tracks focus on artificial intelligence, go-to-market tactics, venture fundraising, corporate finance, digital infrastructure, product design, and operational scaling. The sessions are intended to provide early previews of company announcements and industry insights before they circulate into mainstream coverage.

Ticketing options carry short-term discounts during the three-day lead-up to opening day. Individual registrations feature markdowns of up to $100 off standard prices. Attendees who register alongside a co-founder, coworker, or peer can pick up a second pass of the identical category at a 50 percent cut, while teams bringing groups of four or more unlock extra group savings.

For tech workers recently hit by corporate layoffs, organizers offer an Expo+ Pass discounted to $75 to keep networking and hiring doors open.

Moscone West opens Tuesday morning, running through the middle of the week until judges crown the newest Battlefield winner.
