Acer's Nitro V16 gaming laptop was listed at $1,349.99 on Newegg when Wccftech reported the discount on Sunday, October 11, knocking 10 percent off its regular retail pricing. That price brings a rare hardware mix to the mid-range tier, specifically because it doubles the system memory usually found in portables running Nvidia's mainstream graphics.
Most mobile gaming machines under $1,400 arrive with 16GB of system memory, forcing buyers to budget for aftermarket upgrades if they plan to run memory-heavy multitasking setups or newer titles. Here, Acer installs 32GB of DDR5 RAM straight out of the box.
Backing up that memory pool is an Intel Core 7 240H processor. The chip carries 10 cores and 16 threads, alongside 24MB of Intel Smart Cache and boost clocks that reach up to 5.20GHz under heavier loads. On the visual side, the laptop runs an 85W Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 graphics chip with 8GB of dedicated VRAM. Acer also wired in a physical MUX switch. That component lets users direct the discrete GPU's signal straight to the internal display without routing through the integrated processor graphics first, saving crucial frames during demanding sessions.
The display itself measures 16 inches diagonally with a WUXGA resolution of 1,920 by 1,200 pixels. Choosing a 16:10 aspect ratio provides extra vertical screen space compared to standard widescreen panels, which benefits everyday productivity as well as gaming interfaces. Acer specifies a 180Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time for fast-moving scenes, while maximum brightness tops out at 300 nits. That brightness figure is plenty for indoor desk use, even if bright outdoor environments might push its limits.
Internal storage is the one area where Acer went conservative. The configuration comes with a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe solid-state drive, an amount of room that modern game installs will fill rather quickly.
Audio duties are handled by dual stereo speakers backed by DTS:X Ultra processing. Acer also included a high signal-to-noise ratio DAC capable of driving high-impedance wired headsets up to 600 ohms, along with support for Hi-Res audio playback. Network connectivity relies on Killer hardware, featuring the Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 module, an E2600 Gigabit LAN port, and Bluetooth 5.2 or above. Dual cooling fans handle thermals, expelling heat through exhaust vents located on both the sides and the rear.
Newegg has not listed an official end date for the promotion, meaning price and stock levels can fluctuate without notice.
