Apple HomeView smart display gains SwitchBot and Nanoleaf support ahead of UK launch — wall mount included, EU still blocked. It costs $299 in the US and £299 in the UK, with both tabletop and wall-mounted models available from 13 November. No Indian price or launch date has been announced. The new compatibility means HomeView can now control SwitchBot’s Curtain 3, Blind Tilt, Lock Vision Series locks, sensors, plugs, switches, air-care devices and select robot vacuums, plus Nanoleaf’s Matter-compatible lights. All are controllable by touch on the 7-inch screen or via Siri. Scenes like Good Morning or Movie Night can trigger actions across both brands: open curtains and dim lights with one tap. That’s not new for smart displays. Echo Show and Nest Hub have done it for years, but it’s Apple’s first real test of Matter as a unifying standard beyond its own Home Collection accessories. Not all SwitchBot gear works out of the box. Bluetooth-only devices. Including many sensors and older plugs, require a SwitchBot Matter Hub to appear in Apple Home. That hub is sold separately. The guide doesn’t list its price. Wi-Fi- and Thread-based SwitchBot products, plus Nanoleaf lights certified for Matter over Thread or Wi-Fi, connect directly. Apple hasn’t confirmed HomeView will ship with a wall-mount kit. But the £299 UK price covers both tabletop and wall-mounted versions. Same as the US $299, and the official guide explicitly references ‘wall mount’ use cases across room categories (kitchen, living room, entryway). The EU remains off-limits. Apple says HomeView won’t launch there until Siri AI arrives. Which isn’t scheduled. UK buyers get full functionality, including scene control and Matter routing. The compatibility guide is live now. You can check whether your existing SwitchBot or Nanoleaf gear works, and whether you’ll need that extra hub. Before HomeView ships on 13 November.
