Nikon has been building cameras for more than a century, and a chunk of that catalog is currently cheaper at B&H Photo. Digital Camera World reported on Thursday that the retailer has discounts running up to 37% across a mix of DSLRs, mirrorless bodies and lenses, though the site did not list exact sale prices for each item.
The DSLR side covers three bodies that span very different budgets and use cases. There's an unnamed DX-format DSLR with a 20.9MP sensor, an EXPEED 5 processor, 8fps burst shooting, 4K UHD video and 51-point autofocus, pitched as an entry point for stills and video alike.
Then there's the Nikon D780, a 24.5MP full-frame BSI CMOS DSLR that pairs classic DSLR handling with UHD 4K video and Full HD slow motion. And at the top sits the Nikon D850, Nikon's 45.7MP full-frame workhorse, which packs a 153-point autofocus system, 8K time-lapse capture and focus stacking alongside the same EXPEED 5 processing as the D780.
The D850 launched years ago and has stuck around as a favorite among landscape and studio shooters who want resolution over speed. It's still part of Nikon's lineup despite the company's broader shift to Z-mount mirrorless cameras, and seeing it bundled into a sale like this suggests B&H is clearing stock rather than running a brand-wide promotion tied to a new release.
On the mirrorless side, the sale touches a 24.5MP full-frame camera with a partially stacked sensor capable of 6K internal RAW video and pre-capture shooting at up to 120fps, a 45.7MP XFX-format body with dual EXPEED 6 processors and 1fps burst shooting (per Digital Camera World's listing), and a compact full-frame body that borrows flagship Z9 tech, including a 45.7MP stacked sensor, an EXPEED 7 processor, 20fps RAW capture and 8K video.
Lenses round out the discount list. A constant f/2.8 ultra-wide zoom with Nano Crystal Coat shows up alongside a full-frame f/1.8 prime built for low light, a separate full-frame ultra-wide f/2.8 zoom aimed at architecture and interiors, and a standard f/2.8 zoom covering wide-angle to portrait focal lengths.
None of the coverage names specific sale prices or an end date for the promotion, so anyone interested in a particular body or lens should check B&H's own listing before assuming the discount still applies. Retailer sales on camera gear tend to move fast and vary by stock, and a 37% cut on a flagship DSLR like the D850 is the kind of thing that doesn't last through a full shopping season.
