Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, with Cyber Monday on November 30, and the soundbar discounts have already started. This guide gives you the prices the reviewers at What Hi-Fi were tracking at the end of October, what the same bars fetched last Black Friday, and which soundbars reviewers rate at each price, so you can tell a real cut from a relabelled one.

When the soundbar deals start
The retailer calendar is the same as for TVs: Target's early Black Friday deals run November 5 to 7, with a Deal of the Day from November 1; Best Buy says its holiday savings start in October, with home theater among the first categories; Amazon has not announced 2026 dates, and in 2025 its Black Friday Week ran November 20 to December 1.
Soundbar prices to beat, as of October 27
What Hi-Fi, which tests soundbars in its own room, keeps a running list of the best soundbar deals. These were its US prices when we checked on October 27, 2026. A Black Friday offer is only a deal if it comes in below these.

The standout is the Samsung HW-Q990D at half price: What Hi-Fi calls it "our favourite Dolby Atmos soundbar system", "a hugely compelling package overall", with twin 4K/120Hz HDMI 2.1 inputs for consoles. It is the 2024 model, which is exactly why it is cheap.
What soundbars cost last Black Friday
Last year's deals ran from around November 21 to Cyber Monday on December 1, according to Empire, which tested the Sonos Arc Ultra and tracked its UK price to £799, a £200 saving. Empire also recorded 25% off the Sonos Beam Gen 2, 21% off the Sonos Ray and 57% off the Samsung Q600F bar-and-subwoofer set. Expect the same pattern this year: Sonos discounts its whole range, Samsung cuts last year's system hardest.
Which soundbar to buy on Black Friday 2026
These are the bars that lead our reviewer-sourced list of the best soundbars of 2026, each backed by at least two outlets that tested it, plus the deals above.
The best single bar: Sonos Arc Ultra. Top of our list. Empire calls it "the current benchmark for Dolby Atmos soundbars", with "crystal-clear dialogue and powerful bass", and notes the two things it lacks: HDMI passthrough and DTS:X. One HDMI eARC port is a limit for gamers with few HDMI 2.1 ports on the TV. Sonos Arc Ultra on Amazon.
The full surround system: Samsung HW-Q990H, or last year's Q990F/Q990D for less. The 2026 HW-Q990H is on our list; What Hi-Fi's praise above is for its predecessors, the Q990F at $1,598 and the Q990D at $999. If the H is not discounted, the D is the bargain of the season.
The mid-price Atmos bar: JBL Bar 300MK2 or Sonos Beam (Gen 2). The JBL, third on our list, "hugely impressed with its powerful, three-dimensional sound", says What Hi-Fi, though it "didn't quite beat the class-leading Sonos Beam Gen 2". The budget pick: Sony HT-S100F. The cheapest bar on our list, a slim 2.0-channel bar with Bluetooth for a bedroom TV. Sony HT-S100F on Amazon. Sonos's Ray at $219 is the step up if you want the Sonos app.
The money-no-object bars: Sennheiser Ambeo Max and KEF XIO. Both on our list. What Hi-Fi says the four-foot-wide Ambeo Max "sounds sensational" and is "worth investigating if you can get a discount"; $2,000 at Crutchfield is one.
How to tell a real soundbar deal
- Check what is in the box. A "$999 Q990D" includes the bar, a subwoofer and two rear speakers; a $500 single bar does not. Compare like with like.
- Know the model year. Samsung's Q990D (2024), Q990F (2025) and Q990H (2026) look alike; the oldest is always the cheapest, and reviewers rated all three highly.
- Gamers: count HDMI inputs. The Q990D has two HDMI 2.1 inputs with 4K/120Hz passthrough; the Sonos Arc Ultra has one eARC port and none, Empire notes.
- Compare with the table above, not with the "was" price in the listing.
- Early deals can fall further: last year the Black Friday prices arrived around November 20 and ran to Cyber Monday.
