Target's early deals run November 5 to 7, and last Black Friday a 65-inch LG OLED went under $1,000 and a 65-inch mini-LED under $500. Here is how to judge this year's offers.

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving, with Cyber Monday on November 30. For TVs it is the one sale that matters: the deepest cuts of the year land in the two weeks around it, and the best sets sell out. This guide covers when each big retailer starts, what the same TVs sold for last Black Friday so you can tell a real deal from a relabelled one, and which TVs reviewers rate at each price.

Hitechreports does not test TVs. The prices below are what the outlets linked in each section reported, on the dates given. We will update this page as retailers announce their 2026 events and as prices land.

When Black Friday TV sales start in 2026

Only one of the big three had published its calendar when we checked on October 26.

  • Target has. Its holiday press release of October 21 says a new Deal of the Day runs every day from November 1 to December 24, with a one-day preview of each coming offer, early Black Friday deals run November 5 to 7, and new limited-time offers follow every weekend of the season.
  • Best Buy says its holiday savings start in October, with home theater among the first categories, but has not named a Black Friday date. Last year its Black Friday Sale began on November 20, a week before the day itself. New this year, My Best Buy Plus and Total members earn 1% back in rewards on purchases, or 6% with the store's credit card.
  • Amazon has not announced 2026 dates. In 2025 its Black Friday Week ran from November 20 to December 1, eight days before and three days after Black Friday.

The pattern from last year is clear: the big TV prices arrive around November 20, not on the 27th, and run through Cyber Monday.

Last year's Black Friday TV prices: the numbers to beat

A Black Friday "deal" is only a deal if it beats what the set sold for last time. These are the prices reviewers recorded in November 2025, so you have a yardstick when the 2026 offers appear. Many of these models are still on sale, now a year older and usually cheaper.

Two things stand out. First, a 65-inch OLED from LG's entry B series dipped under $1,000, and a 65-inch mini-LED with full local dimming went under $500. Those are the two numbers to remember. Second, the deals arrived early: TechRadar's six were live "a few weeks" before the day.

Which TVs to buy on Black Friday 2026

The all-rounder: LG C5 or C6. TechRadar names the LG C5 its best TV overall, and its reviewer calls it "the most competitively priced TV in the mid-range OLED category", with a 9.2ms input lag and 4K 144Hz gaming on all four HDMI 2.1 ports. The 2026 successor, the LG C6, tops our own reviewer-sourced list of the best TVs of 2026. Expect the C5 to be the better bargain this November, as last year's model.

The colour OLED: Samsung S90F. Engadget notes the S90F's QD-OLED panel produces more vivid colour than LG's OLEDs, but warns that only the 55-, 65- and 77-inch sizes get that panel in the US; TechRadar makes the same point. Buy the 65-inch S90F and you are safe. No Samsung TV supports Dolby Vision.

The cheapest good OLED: LG B5. Engadget calls it the TV that "gets you the core benefits of any OLED" at the entry price; it is limited to 120Hz and cannot get as bright as the C5. The 65-inch B5 was $996.99 last Black Friday.

The bright-room pick: Hisense U8QG. TechRadar measured 3,337 nits of brightness and a 9.9ms input lag, and names the U8QG its best TV under $1,000 in the US. The 65-inch U8QG is the size to watch.

The budget pick: TCL QM6K. Engadget's under-$500 choice, with quantum-dot colour, mini-LED backlighting and a 144Hz panel, though only two HDMI 2.1 ports. The 65-inch QM6K hit $498 last year. TCL's 2026 replacements, the QM8L and QM7L, will cost more; the QM8L made our best-TVs list.

The premium picks: Samsung S95F, LG G5 and Sony Bravia 8 II. Engadget's top-end pair, the glare-fighting S95F at $2,298 and the LG G5 at $1,997, were at their lowest prices last Black Friday. The Sony Bravia 8 II, third on our best-TVs list, is the one for people who care most about accurate movie pictures.

The new thing: RGB LED. Best Buy says it is the only national retailer where shoppers can compare RGB LED TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG, TCL and Hisense, and calls them "the biggest leap in TV technology in more than a decade". That is the retailer's claim, not a reviewer's: these sets are new, expensive and unlikely to be discounted much in their first Black Friday. Go and look at one, then buy a proven OLED or mini-LED with the saving.

How to tell a real Black Friday TV deal

  • Check the size. Deals are quoted per size, and the 42- and 48-inch versions of OLEDs cannot get as bright as the bigger ones, Engadget notes. A headline price for a 55-inch set tells you nothing about the 65.
  • Check the panel. On the Samsung S90F, as above, the panel depends on the size.
  • Check the ports. Gamers with a PS5, an Xbox Series X and a soundbar need more than two HDMI 2.1 ports; the TCL QM6K, QM7K and QM8K have two, the Hisense U75QG has four, Engadget notes.
  • Compare with the table above, not with the "was" price in the listing.
  • Early deals can fall further. Tom's Guide's Black Friday TV coverage warned that some early deals "could very well drop again closer to the sale day". Last year's record lows mostly arrived in the week of November 20.
  • Hold the box. Target's 2025 holiday price match guarantee refunded the difference if its own price fell later in the season; look for the same promise this year before you buy early.

Where to buy

TVs are sold at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target, and the prices above were mostly Amazon's. The links in this guide go to Amazon, and Hitechreports earns a commission on qualifying purchases.
