Claude code pricing: OpenCode Go is $10/month with 24 models and real usage caps

OpenCode Go launches at $10/month — half the price of Claude Code’s entry tier, with metered access to 24 coding models, including Gemini 4 Argon and Claude Haiku 5.5. It’s not a drop-in replacement for Anthropic’s offering, but it’s already used by 300,000 active developers globally as a low-cost second subscription or primary tool for routine tasks, students, and side projects.

The plan costs $5 for the first month, then $10 monthly, and includes up to $60 of model usage per month. Split into $12 every five hours and $30 per week. Premium models like Gemini 4 Argon are capped at $15 per month each. When limits hit, requests fall back to free models or draw from an optional Zen pay-as-you-go balance.

Unlike Claude Code, which ties users to Anthropic’s models and interface, OpenCode Go delivers a single API key that works across compatible agents, including OpenCode’s terminal client and third-party tools. That portability, plus model-switching via /models, lets developers match cheap, fast models (e.g., Qwen3.6 Plus) to edits and reserve heavier ones (e.g., DeepSeek V4 Pro) for complex logic.
