Fitbit Edge launches globally as Google’s first women’s health–focused tracker — Rs 12,999 in India, $149.99 in the US, with Flo Health integration coming in early 2027. It replaces the Charge 6. No Fitbit Air exists. That name appears only in search queries and is not referenced in any official announcement or source material.
The device is a fitness tracker, not a smartwatch, though Google says it packs ‘advanced health features you’d expect from a more powerful smartwatch’. Including built-in GPS, ECG, SpO₂, and heart rate monitoring. Its OLED display is 45% larger and 40% brighter than the Charge 6’s. A replaceable battery is confirmed, a rarity in modern trackers.
And Gemini-powered AI Health Coach is available to Fitbit Premium subscribers. The Edge runs on Fitbit OS, not Wear OS, and is compatible with both Android and iOS. It does not run Google’s new AAE emulator, nor is it related to Vela Maps, Linux phones, or the RK3588S SoC, those topics appear only in unrelated reader posts and are outside the scope of this launch.
