Lenovo LOQ 15 is the only gaming laptop under $1,500 worth buying right now — and it’s available in two configurations: $999 with an RTX 5050, or $1,300 with an RTX 5060. Both include 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Amazon stocks the $1,300 RTX 5060 model.
Lenovo sells the $999 RTX 5050 version directly. Neither price reflects a flash sale, both are stable, current retail figures as of November 1, 2026. No Indian pricing is cited in the sources. No UK, EU, or other regional prices appear either.
So for now, this is strictly a US-market story, and a rare one at that: a gaming laptop deal that hasn’t been eroded by the ongoing memory shortage pushing prices up across the category. Some 2026 models still ship with the RTX 4050, a GPU launched in early 2023. The LOQ 15 doesn’t. It ships with either the newer RTX 5050 or the more powerful RTX 5060, which runs at 100 watts in this chassis.
That matters. Wired’s testing found it delivered over 60 fps at medium settings in Black Myth: Wukong and Monster Hunter Wilds, titles demanding more than most budget laptops can handle. And unlike many sub-$1,000 gaming laptops, its display is a high-quality IPS panel, not a desaturated TN or low-grade IPS that dulls colors and flattens contrast.
That’s the real differentiator: performance plus a screen that doesn’t sabotage it. Competitors like the MSI Cyborg A16, Acer Nitro V 16, Alienware 15, and Lenovo’s own LOQ Essential 15 were all tested alongside it, and all fell short, per Wired. Black Friday? Probably not worth the wait.
The LOQ 15 wasn’t discounted during October’s Amazon Prime Day, and its pricing has held steady for months. If you’re searching for a gaming laptop under $1,000 or under $1,500, those exact phrases, this is the only model matching both the price and the performance bar right now.
