Amazon US knocked $250 off the Google Pixel 11 Pro during Prime Big Deal Days, bringing the handset down from its usual $1,100 launch price. That 23 percent discount was listed on the storefront when GSMArena reported the figures on Wednesday afternoon.

The markdown brings a needed pricing adjustment to Google's smaller flagship. In the United States, shoppers searching for a top-tier device with a 6.3-inch display do not have a vast roster to pick from. The category comes down almost entirely to the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Apple's iPhone 18 Pro. Chinese competitors offer dramatically faster charging speeds, but those handsets remain unavailable through official channels in the US.

The Tensor G6 Trade-Offs

Google addressed several prominent complaints from last year's generation. Battery endurance fell short on the 2025 iteration, but the new Pixel 11 Pro improves runtime alongside a modest bump in charging speed.

Much of that shift traces back to the silicon under the hood. The Tensor G6 marks Google's departure from Samsung foundries, opting instead for fabrication by TSMC. While that switch aids efficiency, it comes with a glaring weakness in graphics output. The graphics processing unit underwhelms, making the phone a tough sell for people who prioritise mobile gaming.

Google also introduced HiLight as a marquee software feature for this hardware generation. In practice, the capability remains fairly narrow and behaves more like an unpolished gimmick than an indispensable everyday tool.

Hardware Specs and Prime Reductions

Elsewhere on the chassis, Google added its Pixelsnap magnetic array. The system matches Apple's MagSafe layout, turning the Pixel 11 family into the only mainstream Android option offering built-in magnetic accessory alignment. Emergency connectivity also mimics Apple: Google equips the phone with satellite SOS tied to dedicated satellite spectrum. That approach contrasts with Samsung's Galaxy S26 line, which connects via Direct to Cell technology instead of dedicated satellite frequencies.

Under the hood, memory configurations reflect the pressure of rising component costs. Soaring RAM prices in 2026 prompted Google to lower the entry spec to 12GB of RAM. The 2025 Pro models supplied 16GB across all storage capacities, starting at 128GB. Getting 16GB of memory on the Pixel 11 Pro requires stepping up to higher configurations such as the 512GB edition, driving the bill back up. Software support remains stable, with Google guaranteeing seven years of operating system updates and recurring feature drops.

The broader Pixel lineup also saw cuts during the Amazon sale event. The larger 6.8-inch Pixel 11 Pro XL was listed at $1,000 for its base 256GB trim when GSMArena checked, reflecting an identical 23 percent drop. Meanwhile, the base 6.3-inch Pixel 11 was marked down by 17 percent to start at $750.
