Google launched the Pixel 11 Pro at $1,099 in the US, but the entry-level flagship now ships with less memory than its direct predecessor. The base Pixel 11 Pro carries 12GB of RAM, stepping down from the 16GB allocation Google included on the Pixel 10 Pro. That change leaves the base Pro sharing its core memory ceiling with the regular $899 Pixel 11.
Both devices run on Google's Tensor G6 processor and share a broad set of foundational specifications. They offer 30W wired charging, 25W Qi2 wireless charging through the PixelSnap magnetic system, IP68 water resistance, and ultrasonic fingerprint readers embedded beneath the display. Google is also promising seven years of operating system upgrades and security patches across both models.
The standard Pixel 11 starts at $899 in the US, £879 in the UK, and AU$1,499 in Australia. While that figure is $100 higher than the base Pixel 10 launch price, Google doubled the starting storage to 256GB. That puts it at parity with last year's 256GB configuration, and UK buyers saw a £20 decrease relative to the older 256GB model. For that money, buyers get a 6.3-inch display on a 197-gram frame, matte metal rails, and a camera bump slimmed down by 40 percent. Google also rolled out a vibrant Hibiscus finish alongside the standard options.
The Pixel 11 Pro commands a $200 premium in the US, starting at $1,099 (£1,079 in the UK, AU$1,849 in Australia). Buyers who want the 16GB of RAM found on earlier Pro units must pay even more. Google reserved 16GB of RAM exclusively for the higher-capacity models: the 512GB variant at $1,219 (£1,199 / AU$2,049) and the 1TB edition at $1,449 (£1,429 / AU$2,399).
TechRadar, which spent a month comparing the two handsets, reported that the everyday performance gap between them has largely vanished. The publication noted that routine workloads, multitasking, gaming, and on-device machine learning tasks felt effectively identical on both phones. The outlet highlighted that the regular Pixel 11 retains a dedicated telephoto camera, narrowing the hardware divide further.
What separates the Pro comes down to specialized hardware. The Pixel 11 Pro includes Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, a dedicated HiLight notification LED, an anti-scratch treatment on the front glass, polished metal edges, and deeper camera controls.
For shoppers weighing the $200 jump, the decision hinges on whether those specialized hardware additions warrant the extra spend when the internal processing muscle and baseline memory are identical.
