Google Play Store now sells Samsung Galaxy S26 phones and Galaxy Watch8 devices — in select regions, alongside Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watches, and Pixel Buds. The hardware section appears as a new “Shop devices” tab inside the Play Store’s account switcher menu. It is live in the US, UK, and India, according to GSMArena’s verification. But only for some users, and only some Samsung models: no Galaxy A-series, no S26+ or S26 Base, just the S26 lineup (unspecified which variants) and select Watch8 SKUs. No pricing discrepancies: Galaxy S26 phones are listed at their standard retail price, Rs 79,999 in India, $999 in the US, £899 in the UK. As are Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel Watch 3. No discounts. No bundles. Just another storefront, quietly added. Google has not issued a statement. Samsung has not commented. Neither has confirmed whether this is a limited pilot or the start of broader OEM integration. What is confirmed: this is the first time Google has opened its Play Store, long a software-only channel. To third-party Android hardware. And it chose Samsung, not OnePlus, not Nothing, not Motorola. Why? GSMArena calls it puzzling. We call it a signal: Google’s ecosystem play just got physical, and it’s starting with the largest Android OEM, on day one. Rollout remains spotty. Some US users see only Pixels. Some Indian accounts show Galaxy S26 Ultra but not S26. UK testers report full Pixel range plus Galaxy Watch8 Active. But no S26 phones at all. So availability isn’t geographic. It’s account-level. And it’s live now. Not next quarter. Not with Android 28. Now. If your Play Store doesn’t show the tab yet? It may never will. Or it may appear tomorrow. Google hasn’t said how it’s gating access, or when it plans to expand beyond these three markets.
